How

Notify Services Australia of the death, which stops payments and starts the bereavement process. Ask about a Bereavement Payment if they or their partner received a pension or income support. Ask a surviving partner to review their own entitlements, since these often change after a death. Expect a reconciliation, as payments made for periods after death generally have to be returned.
