How

Look for annual statements, dividend statements, and tax summaries in their mail and email, these identify each holding. Contact the share registries such as Computershare and Link, since most Australian shareholdings sit with a handful of registries. Ask their adviser for a consolidated portfolio statement. Request the value as at the date of death, which the beneficiaries need for capital gains tax purposes later.
