Confirm all debts, tax, and administration costs are paid or properly reserved for. Distribute strictly according to the will, or under the intestacy rules of the relevant state or territory where there is no will. Obtain a signed receipt from every beneficiary for everything they receive, including personal items. Where a beneficiary is a minor, follow the will or the court's requirements, funds may need to be held in trust.
