How

Ask payroll to confirm in writing what is owed: final wages, accrued annual and long service leave, and any bonus. Ask specifically about group life, total and permanent disability, and income protection cover held through the employer's default super fund. Ask for the super fund name and member number so you can lodge the death benefit claim directly. Ask whether the employer provides any bereavement assistance or counselling through an employee assistance program.
