How

Order a title search to confirm exactly what property is registered in their name and how it is held. For property held as joint tenants, lodge a notice of death or survivorship application so the title passes to the survivor. For property in the estate, lodge a transmission application so the executor can deal with it, usually through a conveyancer or solicitor. Transfer or cancel vehicle registration with the state road authority, and arrange insurance in the new owner's name before anyone drives it.
