How to store a will in United Kingdom

Keep the original will with the attorney or in a safe place, and record where it is so the people you love can find it.

What to store

Store a copy of the will, the name of the attorney or executor, and where the original is kept. A photo or PDF is enough for the vault. The original often needs to stay with the attorney or in a fire-resistant safe.

Who can open it

You can read it whenever you are signed in. A person you trust sees it only after you grant access, or after a verified death when their access allows it.

This is practical information, not legal, medical, or financial advice.
