Search the obvious places first: safe, filing cabinet, desk, and any folder marked estate or trust. Call any attorney whose name appears in their papers, email, or check register. Ask their bank whether they held a safe deposit box, and ask the court what is required to open it. Check whether the county probate court holds a will on deposit, some states allow this.
